The concepts that underliethe myths of these two booksare vestiges of the common Indo-Iranian legacy. The Charisma (farr-eizadi) is one of these concepts that appears in the Mahābhārata and Shāhnāma many times. The authors of this study tryto answer the question that which similarities and differences are in these books, and how the charisma is affected by these two nations' mode of thinking. In the Hindu literature, including Mahābhārata, there is no precise equivalent tofarr, but there are various forces that, in some respects, equal the charisma. In general, the charisma in the Mahābhārata, like Shāhnāma, appears in the extraordinary events and special objects like royal scepter, which is known in Sanskrit as “daṇḍa”. The force of charisma, in addition to protection of king’s life, endows him with the ability to charm, divination and courage in battle-field. Misdeeds such as ingratitude to God, cruelty and foolishness cause this forceto be removed from the king. The force of charisma in Mahābhārata has more tangiblefeatures than Shāhnāma and has close connections withking’s nature and body, because Mahābhārataisa product of a period in which society was under influence of mythological thinking, while the charisma in Shāhnāma israther an internal force and hasimmaterial and non-tangible characteristics, asShāhnāmaitself isa product of a rationalistand civilized age.}, keywords = {Shāhnāma,Mahābhārata,charisma,comparative study}, title_fa = {مقایسۀ تطبیقی فرّه ایزدی در شاهنامه و مهابهاراتا}, abstract_fa = {داستان ها، شخصیت ها و نکات مشترک فراوان اخلاقی و اجتماعی در دو اثر شاهنامه و مهابهاراتا حکایت از آبشخور مشترک این دو اثر دارد و نشان می دهد اندیشه ها و مفاهیمی که شالودۀ اساطیر این دو اثر را شکل داده اند از دوران زندگی مشترک هندوایرانیان باقی مانده اند. فرّه ایزدی یکی از این مفاهیم مشترک است که در شاهنامه و مهابهاراتا نمود فراوانی دارد. نویسندگان این مقاله به دنبال پاسخ این پرسش اند که فرّ در این دو اثر چه تشابهات و تفاوت هایی دارد و نوع تفکر و نگرش دو ملّت بر نمود این مفهوم چه تأثیری نهاده است. در ادبیات هندو از جمله مهابهاراتا با یک نیروی واحد که دقیقاً معادل فرّه ایزدی باشد روبرو نیستیم، بلکه به نیروهای گوناگونی برمی خوریم که هر کدام با بخشی از نیروی فرّه در شاهنامه هماهنگی دارد و این نیروها هر کدام اصطلاح خاص خود را دارد، ولی به طور کلی نیروی فرّ در مهابهاراتا همچون شاهنامه در حوادث خارق العاده و به صورت اشیاء گوناگون نمود می یابد که یکی از برجسته ترین آن ها عصای شاهی است که به دنده معروف است. این نیرو علاوه بر این که از جان شاه محافظت می-کند به او توانایی افسون، پیشگویی و شجاعت در جنگ نیز می بخشد و عواملی همچون ناسپاسی در برابر خداوند، ظلم و ستم و کژی و نابخردی در مهابهاراتا همانند شاهنامه فرّ را از شاه دور می سازد. دربارۀ وجوه تفاوت این دو اثر نیز باید گفت چون شاهنامه در عصر خردگرایی و مدنیّت شکل گرفته و به نظم درآمده ولی مهابهاراتا در دوره ای سروده شده که جامعه به تفکر اساطیری نزدیک تر بوده است، نیروی فرّه در مهابهاراتا نمودی ملموس و عینی تر یافته و با طبیعت و شاه و اندام او پیوندی تنگاتنگ دارد ولی در شاهنامه نیرویی درونی است و به سمت عناصر مجرّد و غیر ملموس میل پیدا کرده است.}, keywords_fa = {شاهنامه,مهابهاراتا,فرّه ایزدی,مقایسۀ تطبیقی}, url = {https://jls.um.ac.ir/article_33809.html}, eprint = {https://jls.um.ac.ir/article_33809_da9cb385fd00fe6d410f4fdeae67c15a.pdf} }
