This article aims to adopt an analytical-descriptive approach to trace the evolution of this term from classical to contemporary poetry and to address the following question: Does the word "mirror" convey new meaning(s) within the context of contemporary poetry, particularly in the works of Forough Farrokhzad and Ahmad Shamlou? If so, what are the reasons behind these conceptual transformations in contemporary poetry?<br />To this end, the study first examines the dominant intellectual frameworks or epistemological paradigms of these poets, as these paradigms provide the overarching intellectual foundations that facilitate such semantic transformations. Subsequently, drawing upon the theory of conceptual metaphors, the metaphors in which the term "mirror" has undergone semantic changes will be analyzed to determine which meaning appears most frequently in each poet’s work.<br />The findings of this study indicate that "mirror," in the poetry of both poets, symbolizes "human." However, Forough's "conscious human" is fundamentally distinct from Shamlou's "evolved human," reflecting the distinct intellectual paradigms of these two poets. «آینه» ازجمله واژگان پر‌بسامدی‌ است که در دوره‌های مختلف شعر فارسی دستخوش تحولات معنایی گوناگون شده است. در این‌ مقاله قصد داریم به روش تحلیلی- توصیفی سیر تحول این‌ واژه را از شعر کلاسیک تا شعر معاصر بررسی کنیم و به این‌ پرسش پاسخ دهیم که آیا واژۀ آینه بیانگر معنا یا معانی تازه‌ای در بافت شعر معاصر (به‌طور خاص در شعر فروغ و شاملو) است؟ و اگر چنین است، دلایل این تحولات مفهومی در شعر معاصر چیست؟ به‌این‌منظور ابتدا به نظام‌های فکری غالب یا همان پارادایم‌های معرفتی شاعران خواهیم پرداخت؛ چراکه نظام‌های فکری و معرفتی شاعران آبشخور فکری مسلط و خاصی را برای آن‌ها فراهم می‌سازد که زمینه‌ساز این تحولات معنایی می‌شود. سپس با استناد به نظریۀ استعاره‌های مفهومی،‌ استعاره‌هایی را که در آن‌ها واژۀ آینه دچار تحول معنایی شده است، موردبررسی قرار‌می‌دهیم تا در‌یابیم که کدام معنا در شعر هر شاعر بسامد بیشتری دارد. یافته‌های پژوهش حاکی از آن است که «آینه» در شعر هر دو شاعر مابازای انسان است، اما انسانِ آگاه فروغ با انسانِ رشد‌یافتۀ شاملو با توجه به جهان فکری این دو‌ شاعر کاملاً متفاوت است. https://jls.um.ac.ir/article_48317_fab95ca615e1403b9b80a661c156eb30.pdf
