In the Florence manuscript (614 AH), the couplet is recorded as: Nokhostīn tan az marg bebsāyadī/ Dalīr o javān khāk nabsāyadī. The wide variation in the manuscript readings has led some editors to omit the couplet from the text altogether, while others have proposed emendations that are difficult to justify. In this study, the extant manuscript readings are classified into two principal groups. Manuscript analysis suggests that the readings of the first group are most likely the result of scribal intervention, whereas the diversity of the second group indicates that the original form of the couplet should be sought within this group. The study therefore addresses two main questions: what is the most plausible reconstruction of the couplet in light of the manuscript evidence, and how does this reconstruction affect the arrangement of the couplets in the prelude to the story of Rostam and Sohrab? The findings show that, once the couplet is restored, the prelude consists of a coherent sequence of six couplets. Furthermore, examination of the manuscript tradition and the content of the subsequent couplets indicates that numerous couplets were added to this section after Ferdowsi. Most of these additions function as interpretive glosses composed in response to the ideas expressed in the original prelude. این مقاله به تصحیح و تحلیل یکی از بیت‌های مبهم خطبهٔ داستان رستم و سهراب می‌پردازد؛ بیتی که در نسخهٔ فلورانس (614 ق) به‌صورت «نخستین تن از مرگ ببسایذی/ دلیر و جوان خاک نبسایذی» ضبط شده است. اختلاف‌ها و ضبط‌های گوناگون این بیت در نسخه‌های شاهنامه موجب شده است که برخی مصححان آن را از متن شاهنامه کنار بگذارند و برخی دیگر تصحیحی نادرست از آن ارائه کنند. در این پژوهش، ضبط‌های مختلف بیت به دو گروه اصلی تقسیم شده است. تحلیل نسخه‌ها نشان می‌دهد که ضبط‌های گروه نخست به احتمال فراوان حاصل دخل و تصرّف کاتبان است، اما تنوّع ضبط‌های گروه دوم نشان می‌دهد که صورت اصیل بیت را باید در نسخه‌های همین گروه جست‌وجو کرد؛ ازاین‌رو این پرسش مطرح می‌شود که تصحیح دقیق بیت با توجه به تفاوت ضبط‌ها چیست و این بیت چه تأثیری در بازسازی ترتیب بیت‌های خطبهٔ داستان رستم و سهراب دارد؟ نتایج پژوهش نشان می‌دهد که با تصحیح این بیت، خطبهٔ داستان رستم و سهراب از شش بیت منسجم تشکیل شده است. همچنین بررسی نسخه‌ها و تحلیل محتوای بیت‌ها نشان می‌دهد که پس از فردوسی بیت‌های فراوانی به این بخش افزوده شده است که بیشتر آن‌ها کارکردی تفسیری دارند و در واکنش به اندیشه‌های مطرح‌شده در این خطبه سروده شده‌اند. https://jls.um.ac.ir/article_48485_3776eddabd032b9e07745c212a4f485f.pdf
