From 2009 (Issue No. 164), following the directive of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology regarding the specialization of journals according to academic disciplines, this journal was published under the title 'Literary Enquiries (formerly Literature and Human Sciences)' in the field of Persian language and literature. Since 2016, it has been published under the new title 'New Literary Studies. Furthermore, in 2025, New Literary Studies has received scientific and cultural support from the Iranian Scientific Association of Persian Language and Literature.
APC
No fees are charged for the submission and review of articles. However, if an article is accepted, the author(s) shall pay an amount of 6,000,000 Rials (six million Rials) online to the account of the Vice Chancellor for Research of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, to cover part of the editing and printing costs.

Journal Revenue Sources
As the publisher, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad provides financial support by allocating a predefined budget for each published issue of the journal. The allocated budget is determined according to the journal's ranking in the annual evaluation announced through the Scientific Journals Portal of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. This funding covers the costs associated with establishing and maintaining the journal's infrastructure, manuscript processing, peer review, editing, typesetting, and the long-term preservation of the journal's article archive.
Another source of financial support for the journal is the publication fee charged to authors whose manuscripts have been accepted for publication. This source of revenue has no influence whatsoever on the editorial decisions made by the Editorial Board.

Direct Marketing
There is no direct marketing activity in this journal.
New literary studies uses the Hamyab scientific text similarity system to check Persian texts and the iThenticate system to check Latin texts (English extended abstracts of articles) in order to prevent plagiarism. All articles are checked for similarity before being sent for review, and if the similarity percentage exceeds 20%, the article will be excluded from the review process.
