Aims and Scope

The Journal of New Literary Studies aims to provide suitable grounds for the exchange of ideas and new perspectives at both national and international levels by publishing research achievements and literary investigations.

Aims:

  • Publishing new achievements resulting from research and inquiries in Persian language and literature

  • Establishing an interactive infrastructure for the exchange of opinions and collaboration among researchers in the process of writing and reviewing articles

  • Laying the groundwork for theoretical studies and theorizing in the field of Persian literature

  • Strengthening new methodological foundations in classical studies of Persian language and literature

  • Contributing to the expansion and sustainability of critical thinking in Persian literary studies

Vision

This quarterly journal hopes to realize the above aims by publishing articles (research, short, review, and promotional) on the following subjects:

  1.  Explanation, critique, and scientific analysis of literary works
  2. Research on literary language and the history of the Persian language
  3. Textual studies: critical editing of classical texts and codicology of literary works
  4. Articulating the status of classical and contemporary Persian literature in world literature
  5. Revisiting indigenous perspectives and theories in Iran's literary heritage
  6. Application of specific theories and approaches in rereading classical Persian texts
  7. Introducing the activities and research of foreign scholars on Persian literature and Persian poetic and prose works
  8. Reporting the results of doctoral dissertations of literature students from universities in the form of articles
