Abstract

The general commentators, In the understanding of the verse " Yonder world is a city full of trafficking and earning ", have only mentioned the possibility of Earning in the hereafter or Rūmī's attention as a result of good deeds in this world with blessings in the afterlife. On the other hand, the author considers this verse related to the hadith of "Ṣūq al-Ṣuwar". The mentioned description obtains a more accurate narrative from its interpretation. This concept can also be known as "Ṣūq al-Ṣuwar" by Ibn al-ʻArabī, who spoke more than anyone in this regard. After briefly mentioning the interpretations of all prominent commentators of the Mas̲navī, the connection of this verse with the concept of Earning in the Otherworld, firstly in the possibility of such earning and secondly related to the concept of Earning in otherworldly forms, is proposed. Earning images of the Otherworld is opposed to the Earning of this world, and Rūmī compares these concepts to a child's game and understanding, which is one of the results of this research. The realization of the utopia in the afterlife through "Ṣūq al-Ṣuwar" is also one of the momentous outcomes of this interpretation.
