The corresponding author must register on the journal's website and submit the manuscript through the Online Submission section by completing all required information accurately. Please note that submission of revised manuscripts following peer review and payment of the publication fee are possible only through the corresponding author's account.
Manuscripts are accepted exclusively through the journal's online submission system at https://jls.um.ac.ir. The journal does not accept manuscripts submitted by mail, e-mail, or in person.
The title page must be uploaded separately as a Supplementary File and should include:
The title of the manuscript;
The full names of all authors;
The academic rank of each author (in both Persian and English);
The e-mail address and telephone number of each author; and
Identification of the corresponding author.
Authors are kindly requested, where possible, to recommend three qualified reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject of the submitted manuscript. The suggested reviewers must be affiliated with institutions other than those of the manuscript's authors.
Before uploading your manuscript, please read these guidelines carefully and prepare your manuscript accordingly. Manuscripts that do not conform to the journal's formatting and submission requirements will not be considered for review.
Please ensure that the names of all authors are entered accurately. After submission, changes to the number of authors, the order of authors, or the corresponding author are not permitted.

Author Information File (approximately 100 words), including a brief biography of each author, institutional affiliation (university or employing institution), and research interests in Persian. Please note that, if the manuscript is accepted, the submitted affiliation will be published as provided and cannot be changed thereafter.

An English abstract (250 words) corresponding to the Persian abstract.
An extended English abstract (800–1,000 words) corresponding to the extended Persian abstract.
The manuscript must not exceed 7,000 words, including tables, figures, charts, and references.
The manuscript must conform to the orthographic rules approved by the Academy of Persian Language and Literature. Correct use of the Persian half-space (non-breaking space) is mandatory.

Persian abstract: B Lotus, 12 pt.
English abstract: Times New Roman, 12 pt.

All tables and figures must be presented in Persian.
The manuscript must be prepared on A4 paper (21 × 29.7 cm) with margins of 5 cm (top and bottom) and 4 cm (left and right). Line spacing must be 1 cm. The first line of each paragraph should be indented by 0.5 cm, and the entire text should be aligned using Justify Medium.
Within the Persian text, authors' names, numbers, years, and page numbers must be written in Persian. The original Latin spelling of authors' names should be provided in footnotes. In footnotes, a period followed by a space must appear between the footnote number and the author's name. Please do not use the Word superscript (X²) function for footnote numbering; instead, use Word's automatic footnote numbering feature.
Direct quotations must include the page number and be enclosed in quotation marks (e.g., Ahmadi, 1391, p. 112). Page numbers are not required for indirect quotations. Direct quotations exceeding 40 words must be presented as a block quotation, indented 0.5 cm from the right margin and formatted in B Lotus, 10 pt.
Every Latin term appearing for the first time in the manuscript must be accompanied by its equivalent in a footnote. In English footnotes, only proper nouns should begin with a capital letter; all other terms should begin with lowercase letters. Please do not insert footnote numbers manually. Footnote numbering should be automatic and restart on each page.
The main body of the manuscript must include the following sections in the order presented:
Introduction
Literature Review (including the theoretical framework)
Methodology
Findings
Discussion and Conclusion
Authors are requested to organize all manuscript contents within this structure.
All main section headings and subsection headings must be numbered to clearly indicate the hierarchical relationship between sections and subsections. When numbering subsections, the number of the main section should precede the subsection number. For example, if Research Instruments is the third subsection under Methodology (Section 2), it should be numbered as 2.3. Research Instruments.
All formulas, figures, tables, and illustrations must be of high quality and inserted in their appropriate positions within the manuscript. A blank line should be left between each table and the following text. The correct use of Persian half-spaces must be observed in the text of all tables and figures. All figures, tables, numerals, statistics, and other numerical data must be presented in Persian.
All in-text citations and reference entries must be prepared in accordance with these author guidelines.
If a cited work has more than two authors, use the equivalent of "et al." in in-text citations (e.g., Hosseini et al., 2022). However, the reference list must include the names of all authors.
Do not use "ibid." or similar abbreviations. Complete bibliographic information must be provided for every citation.
The journal reserves the right to accept or reject submitted manuscripts and to edit accepted manuscripts.
Manuscripts derived from a master's thesis or doctoral dissertation must be published jointly under the names of the student, the supervisor, and any advisor(s). The supervisor shall serve as the corresponding author and assume responsibility for the manuscript.
Upon acceptance of a manuscript, the author(s) are required to pay a publication fee of 6,000,000 IRR (Iranian Rials). Payment must be made through the corresponding author's account in the journal's online submission system.
All in-text citations and references must be prepared in accordance with the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th Edition.
Authors whose manuscripts have been returned for revision are kindly requested to submit, in addition to the revised manuscript, a Response to Reviewers document in order to facilitate and expedite the peer-review process.
The response document should address each reviewer's comments individually by:
Indicating the reviewer number;
Quoting the reviewer's comment or suggestion verbatim; and
Providing a detailed response immediately below each comment, explaining how the issue has been addressed.
Please do not delete the reviewers' comments, and highlight all revisions made in the revised manuscript.
Authors of manuscripts that are accepted for publication after successful completion of the peer-review process are required to pay a publication fee of 6,000,000 IRR (Iranian Rials).
